The Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to deliver administrative and technical support to the Underwriting Admin team, ensuring efficient and timely processing of tasks and providing essential support to the underwriting team.

  • Location: Miami, Florida

  • Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

  • The salary range for this role is: $51,500.00 - $77,500.00

Your New Role

  • Provide support to assigned underwriters and brokers throughout the policy lifecycle, including but not limited to, invoices, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals.

  • Ensure files are completed to meet compliance requirements. Collaborate with offshore resources to ensure accurate data processing.

  • Assist in managing the credit control aspects of the business.

  • Be aware of the annual business plan for the Underwriting Division(s) your role supports.

  • Maintain administration duties within the department to ensure effectiveness and professionalism.

  • Input data accurately on relevant systems to maintain up-to-date information.

  • Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements and internal service standards.

  • Respond to client requests with excellent customer focus.

  • Develop effective working relationships with internal customers and the team.

  • Preparation of policy documentation including wordings and debit notes.

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in operational underwriting

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
