The Role
Assess and manage specialty and financial insurance risks across a broker portfolio. Prepare renewals, quotations, cover notes and invoices for financial lines (D&O, PI, Medical Malpractice, Cyber, K&R, etc.). Negotiate facultative reinsurance terms, verify placing slips, support policy processing, monitor accounts, provide technical guidance, and pursue growth and upselling.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Underwriting and Technical Duties
- Risk assessment and management of specialty and financial risks within the allocated portfolio
- Analysis of clients’ risk, deciding the appropriate covers, extensions, exclusions, and premium of insurance products.
- Prepare, submit, record, and follow up of renewal terms and quotations for the following insurance products: Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice, Kidnap & Ransom, Cyber Liability, Single Project Professional Indemnity, Commercial Crime and Combined Insurances.
- Place facultative covers - negotiate terms with reinsurers and reinsurance brokers (local and international).
- Management of a portfolio of insurance brokers.
- Record and submit instructions to Documentation and Policy Processing.
- Verification of Brokers’ Placing Slips and preparation of Cover Notes and Invoices.
- Portfolio Management and Customer Relationship Management
- Monitoring of existing client’s accounts.
- Provision of technical guidance and assistance to internal and external customers.
- Prompting growth, upselling and business acquisition.
- Customer Relationship Management duties.
Candidate's Profile
- Minimum Higher School Certificate (HSC) with Accounting/Economics at Principal level
- Diploma or Degree in Finance would be an advantage
- Diploma in Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) or studying towards CII
- Minimum 3 years’ working experience in Insurance sector preferably in the financial lines
- Able to work under pressure
- Team player and able to work individually as well
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
