Assist underwriters in underwriting of the various products including triaging inquiries, preparing underwriting information, following up with intermediaries, and closing deals. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist underwriters in underwriting of Engineering products including triaging inquiries, preparing underwriting information, following up intermediaries, and closing deals
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines
- Regularly collect, compile and analyze market info to share with the team
- Support credit control in payment collection when needed by coordinating with intermediaries
- Tracking, reporting and analyzing team’s referrals, backlogs and other productivity and efficiency related management requirements
- Be the digital ambassador of the team
- Recommend and implement initiatives in streamlining policies, processes and procedures to meet business needs
- Provide interpretation and advice regarding polices, process and procedures
- Maintain accurate data in relevant systems and databases
Preferred Competencies/Skills
- Strong analytical, communication & interpersonal skills
- Sound PC skills and fast learner in computer programs
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of underwriting experience in insurance business together with relevant policy documentation handling experience
Preferred Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of the insurance industry
- Good understanding of process and procedures
