Role Purpose:
To support our Underwriting teams across new & existing business written by Everest International Insurance under the Operations team. Role will report to the Underwriting Assistant (UA) Team Leader in Operations and work in close coordination with various Underwriting teams as a multi-line UA.
Key Accountabilities:
Assist underwriters in the day to day matters so as to achieve our portfolio targets across lines of business
To summarize slip terms and conditions, calculate premiums and exposures and ensure complete accurate entry of submissions, quotes, risks, endorsements and transactions to the Everest Underwriting System(s) so as to ensure correct management, statistical and regulatory reporting.
Perform as required the necessary data checks to ensure accuracy of underwriting data ensuring they are accurately entered within our systems by our BPO.
Store all risk information and correspondence onto the document repository to ensure a complete and accurate audit trail of all substantive business activity.
Ensure that all relevant underwriting information is included for the peer review, risk entry and data checking review process within the designated timeframe. Underwriting information submitted electronically to be indexed and updated as appropriate within specified timeframes.
Maintain tools containing key underwriting information to facilitate compliance sanctions, fraud and financial crime checks pre bind and monitoring post bind.
Provide administrative support to underwriters and the Operations team in areas including credit control queries, data quality and process improvement.
When necessary, provide support to Underwriting teams within other classes of business.
Any other ad hoc tasks as defined and agreed with the Head of Operations & Team Leader

Knowledge of underwriting and facultative Insurance & Reinsurance processes
At least two year’s relevant experience of working in an underwriting support role
Critical to have experience and knowledge of any of the key lines of commercial lines of business such as A&H, Aviation, Casualty, Financial Lines, CPR, Energy & Construction, Marine and Property.
Knowing how to read a slip of any of the above lines of business is very important
Ability to stay organized in a fast paced and high intensity work environment with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Willing to take initiative, function independently and be entrepreneurial with the highest standards of ethics and professionalism
Commitment to customer service as a differentiator
A preference for working collaboratively with colleagues & creating a strong company culture
Strong attention to detail & a willingness to continually learn
