The Role
The Underwriting Assistant at IndemCo, an Acrisure Agency Partner, is responsible for preparing and reviewing new bonds and riders, handling monthly renewals, invoicing bonds and renewals, communicating with internal underwriting team and external agents, processing Broker of Record changes, and maintaining electronic filing. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe/PDF document preparation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for a College Degree. Financial or accounting work history is preferred, and experience in bond writing and the insurance industry is beneficial.

We are currently looking to add our team with an exciting opportunity as a Underwriting Assistant at IndemCo, an Acrisure Agency Partner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review new bonds and riders

  • Prepare and review monthly renewals

  • Invoice bonds and renewals in accounting system

  • Communicate with internal underwriting team

  • Communicate with external agents

  • Process Broker of Record changes

  • Process Rate Changes

  • Maintain electronic filing

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent in education and experience required, College Degree preferred.

  • Financial or accounting work history preferred.

  • Bond or writing bonds experience a plus. 

  • Insurance industry experience helpful.

Technology Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Proficiency in preparing and editing Adobe/PDF documents.
