The Underwriting Assistant - Commercial Insurance will work from our Phoenix AZ office.


Responsibilities

  •  Assist the UW Support Team Leader in managing commercial accounts, policy handling, and process implementation. This includes entering and relaying data into underwriting (UW) systems, coordinating with Resource Pro support, and participating in other assigned UW-related tasks.
  •  Order, track, follow up on, and distribute loss runs and risk control inspection surveys. This also involves reconciling completed inspections with invoices.
  • Process endorsements and inspections as assigned.
  • Professionally and promptly respond to inquiries and service requests from agents, policyholders, team members, vendors, and other departments.
  • Assist UW Team Leader in the retrieval and review of Production and Bordereaux Reports

  • And any other duties as directed 

Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday during core business hours.
  • High school diploma BSc or equivalent, with 2-5 years of experience in office administrative support.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and the ability to drive a personal vehicle for company errands (preferred experience).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with standard office equipment, shipping hardware/software, telephone systems, and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of commercial insurance is helpful.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.


The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
