Bellingham Underwriters, a division of Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc., is an underwriting management firm specializing in commercial trucking, ambulance, and logging insurance. We are currently looking for an Underwriting Account Manager to join our team. In this position, you will provide technical rating, policy issuance, and endorsement underwriting in support of the Underwriting Team. Additionally, this position will utilize manual and automated systems in the rating, coding, and policy issuance for all transactions and for all lines of business.

JOB DUTIES:
-
Serves as primary point of contact for producers of our insurance policyholders.

Understands all underwriting and carrier guidelines to service clients in a manner consistent with those guidelines and to avoid potential exposure to E&O claims.

Provides guidance on appropriate coverage changes and contractual requirements to producers.

Educates producers on exclusions and exposures.

Prepares binders, upon request from an underwriter, and resolves policy contract discrepancies.

Conducts quality review by comparing submitted applications to issued policies to ensure all file documentation of insurance policy contracts are within underwriting guidelines.

Quotes and prices all policy changes and endorsements for policyholders.

Processes cancellation notices, endorsements, certificate notifications, and reviews MVRs.

Responsible for policy checking and state insurance filings.

Completes day‐to‐day workload to meet producer and insured needs in a timely manner, while ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.

Provides support as needed for carrier, internal, and state compliance audits.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four‐year college or technical school and at least one to two years related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer navigating skills – must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong Communications skills – must be able to correspond and communicate with producers in a courteous and professional manner to help resolve issues.

Reasoning ability – solve practical problems without strict instructions.

Strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize tasks within standard team deadlines.

Ability to work within a team‐based environment.

Pay Range
$24.04 - $38.46 Hourly
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
