The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide range of ultrasound exams, such as general ultrasound, breast, OB/GYN, and other ultrasound exams on incoming patients. What you will do
- Uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images for diagnosis. Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
- Educates patients/families regarding the procedure to be performed. Explains the procedure and independently performs ultrasound exams on patients following established protocols.
- Evaluates images for quality. Interprets what image is captured. Presents images and preliminary findings to the physician.
- Maintains the ultrasound equipment and sterilizes the room. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Troubleshoots and ensures equipment functionality.
- Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
- Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Follows RHS policies and procedures. Reports variances.

Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) RDMS (OB or AB) Upon Hire(Required) or
- Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S or BS) Upon Hire(Required) and
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) CCI (RVS) Upon Hire(Preferred)
- Weekend Shifts
