UI/UX Programmer Intern - Undergraduate

About the Team:

Insomniac Games is looking for a UI/UX Programmer Intern who is excited to work with a diverse team of artists, designers, and programmers to bring functional, visually appealing, and high-performance UI/UX features to life. What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to create and implement intuitive and consistent user experiences that align with the art, design, and technical vision of the game.
- Take ownership of user-facing features, refining and polishing them throughout the development cycle, from prototype to final implementation.
- Work within established development standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality UI/UX components.
- Develop familiarity with existing UI/UX tools and stay updated on current industry trends.
- Incorporate feedback, iterate on your work, and complete assigned tasks.
- Contribute to team documentation, helping to build institutional knowledge.
- Engage positively with the team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing an Undergraduate degree.
- Projected to graduate by Spring 2026.
- Proficient in C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and/or other related front-end development tools.
- Ability to follow coding styles and practices, including source control standards.
- General understanding of procedural and object-oriented programming paradigms.
- Experience working with a game engine or game editor is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial content creation packages (e.g., Adobe Suite, specifically Flash/Animate, or Maya) is a plus.
- Comfortable using common collaborative software like Microsoft Office products.
Eligibility:
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
