Location: Columbus, OH
Position Type: Onsite
Contract Length: Long-term with annual extensions
Position Overview:
The Consultant will lead the design and development of modern, intuitive UI/UX solutions, working closely with business users and technical teams to deliver user-centered designs within an agile environment. This role requires strong collaboration, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in prototyping and design systems to drive product improvements and influence the overall product roadmap.
Duties:
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders, business users, and engineering teams to gather and define UI/UX requirements
  • Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user-friendly interfaces that support complex business processes
  • Lead UI/UX efforts across all phases of the product lifecycle, including discovery, research, and design
  • Conduct user research, testing, and analysis to validate and iterate on product concepts
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to brainstorm and implement design solutions
  • Develop and maintain reusable design system libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Establish and manage a seamless UI handoff process to development teams
  • Ensure UI/UX designs align with best practices and meet security and compliance standards
  • Partner with backend developers to support integration of front-end components
  • Participate in backlog grooming and agile ceremonies to align design requirements with development efforts
  • Proactively identify product improvement opportunities and contribute to the product roadmap
  • Communicate design concepts and ideas effectively to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Lead discussions, workshops, and creative sessions to build consensus and drive decision-making
  • Manage and prioritize multiple design initiatives while balancing competing priorities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Facilitate meetings and work sessions with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborate across business and functional teams to support project objectives
  • Apply strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Work independently and within a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and effectively manage time and resources
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of prioritization based on user and system requirements
  • Ensure clear and professional communication in English across all interactions

Required Skills:
  • 8 years of verifiable experience translating user interface requirements into effective graphical application designs
  • 8 years of experience developing projects within an Agile methodology
  • 8 years of hands-on experience with front-end UI technologies including HTML (with Bootstrap and Fluent UI), CSS, and JavaScript
  • 5 years of advanced experience in site architecture and designing intuitive user interfaces and navigation structures
  • 5 years of experience using design tools such as Figma, with the ability to quickly learn emerging tools
  • 5 years of experience designing and delivering products end-to-end as part of a cross-functional team
  • 5 years of experience with ASP.NET using the C# programming language
  • Demonstrated understanding of implementing secure UI design and coding practices within ASP.NET MVC applications
Preferred Skills:
  • UI/UX Certification
  • Verifiable experience developing applications using ASP.NET Core MVC
  • Expert-level experience creating conversational workflow diagrams and detailed user journey maps
