Leidos’ Defense Systems RF Systems UAS Portfolio is seeking a UAS Test Engineer to join our team supporting Army UAS’ interoperability test. Our group has supported the interoperability testing, and technology evaluation and insertion to emerging UAS technologies for the Army’s UAS systems, as well as Joint service platforms.

Primary Responsibilities.
- Collaborate with UAS groups in the integration and test of UAS systems per established requirements.
- Support test planning and test design activities.
- Support command and control (C2) testing for UAS systems.
- Support diverse payload testing for UAS systems.
Basic Qualifications.
- BS in computer science, computer engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited institution with 8-12 years of recent relevant experience or Masters 6-10 years of recent relevant experience. In lieu of degree 15-20 years of recent relevant experience.
- Understanding of UAS operations, to include specific knowledge of command and control, UAS payloads and general aircraft knowledge.
- Must be a US citizen, possess and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
- Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Direct support of UAS system testing.
- Familiarity with command-and-control standards and protocols (i.e. STANAG 4586, Mavlink, etc.)
- Familiarity with video standards and protocols (i.e. MPEG, H.264, MISB Metadata, etc.)

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
