About the Internship

SailPoint is seeking a motivated and analytical university student to join our Product Operations team within our SaaS/Cloud organization. This internship is ideal for students interested in the intersection of product, strategy, data, and cross-functional execution.

As a Product Operations Intern, you will partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Business Operations to help streamline processes, improve visibility into product performance, and enable data-driven decision-making.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting product planning, release coordination, tooling optimization, and performance tracking. This role provides exposure to how enterprise SaaS products are built, launched, measured, and scaled in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong mentorship and ownership opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Support product planning and roadmap tracking processes

  • Help maintain product documentation, release notes, and internal communications

  • Analyze product usage data and create dashboards or reports to inform decision-making

  • Assist in gathering and synthesizing customer feedback from multiple sources

  • Identify process improvement opportunities across product and engineering workflows

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between product, engineering, and go-to-market teams

  • Contribute to operational initiatives that improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability
     

Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Interest in product management, operations, strategy, or SaaS business models

  • Comfort working with data (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools; exposure to BI tools is a plus)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
     

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project management or productivity tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, Confluence, Asana)

  • Exposure to SaaS metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement, churn, ARR)

  • Academic background in Business, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
     

Education

College students from rising sophomores to seniors, as well as master’s-level students, are encouraged to apply.

Compensation varies based on your level of education from high school to Masters and the role applied for.

The reasonably estimated hourly rate for interns at SailPoint ranges from (USD):

$15 - $35.00
