What you’ll do
- Design, prototype, and develop bespoke typefaces for global clients, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
- Manage the entire typographic creation process: concept, pitching, prototyping, development, production, and font mastering.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations (and pitches) showcasing the creative journey and design decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (strategists, brand designers, etc.) to seamlessly integrate typography into brand visual identities.
- Maintain a high standard of execution, with meticulous attention to detail and typographic craftsmanship.
- Stay up-to-date with branding and typographic design trends, contributing to team growth and innovation.
- Develop and customize wordmarks in close collaboration with relevant teams.
- Work with international teams to create multilingual fonts, ensuring consistency and quality across different writing systems.
What you’ll need
- Extensive experience in type design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical skills and creative vision.
- Proficiency in Glyphs (primary tool for typeface creation and production).
- Mastery of typographic development stages: hinting, kerning, interpolation, and technical optimization.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly explain design choices and creative processes.
- Strong knowledge of branding and typography as a tool for visual identity, with a strategic view of how type is used across various brand touchpoints.
- Experience managing type design projects for global clients, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent command of the English language (essential for working with international teams and clients).
- Ability to develop Latin typefaces; knowledge and design experience in multiple scripts is a plus.
