1. Lead and manage the Application Development team to ensure stable operations, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of business-critical applications.
2. Drive application portfolio management and optimize resource allocation across systems, projects, and team members to improve overall productivity and service quality.
3. Develop team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and technical mentorship, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. Strengthen technical expertise and ownership across key business applications, covering over 20 core systems and multiple business modules.
5. Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, system modernization, and service expansion.
6. Manage the full application development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
7. Lead and oversee application-related projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
8. Manage project priorities, resource planning, and task execution to meet business objectives.
9. Manage external vendors and technology partners, including performance monitoring, service delivery, and contract governance.
10. Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
11. Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and development practices to enhance system scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related disciplines.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in application development, system implementation, or IT application support.
3. At least 5 years of experience within the life insurance or financial services industry.
4. Minimum 3 years of people management experience leading a team of 5 or more members.
5. At least 2 years of project management experience managing cross-functional technology initiatives.
6. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, application architecture, and project management practices.
7. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
