About the Role
The Operational Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across the organization. This role partners closely with business units and Group functions to strengthen the operational risk framework, enhance internal controls, and support regulatory and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage the Operational Risk Register for both Local and Group reporting purposes.
• Oversee Operational Risk Incident (ORI) reporting, including timely escalation and documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis on risk events; prepare reports, track remediation actions, and recommend process improvements.
• Review, monitor, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to operations, including but not limited to:
- Operational loss events
- Regulatory fines and financial impacts from litigation or disputes
- Loss of key talent and succession risks for senior roles
- Reputational risks such as negative media exposure
• Perform SOP and process reviews to assess control effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support key risk initiatives and projects, including internal risk control enhancements related to IFRS 17 implementation.
Qualifications• Minimum 10 years of experience in audit, risk management, or control functions within insurance, financial institutions, or listed companies.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Good command of English is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of navigating complex environments.
