• Continue development of world-class efficient hauling for NexTier Logistics movements
• Maintain a committed safety culture and coordinate with the HSE team on the execution of new policies.
• Establish business financial plan, utilization targets, and cost per ton-mile targets.
• Optimize utilization of fleet assets balancing idle fleet/driver capacity with dispatch of third party carriers to meet peak load demands.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery and continuity of supply at job site – 0 tolerance for job delays due to delivery delays.
• Develop and manage transportation operations staff, including hiring, scheduling, and terminating (when necessary) drivers, dispatchers, and other administrative personnel.
• Ensure fleet DOT compliance and safe operations.
• Maintain knowledge of all trucking regulations.
• Review safety items such as missing logs/DVIR’s, log violation letters, etc. to ensure compliance.
• Validate and review driver Hours of Service to ensure compliance.
• Manage KPIs - Utilization, Service, Revenue, Costs, etc.
• Motivate staff to achieve KPIs and operate safely and with full legal compliance.
• Check and verify that drivers’ have confirmed their future load assignments and are clear on their delivery requirements.
• Ensure all documents pertaining to shipments are accurate, complete and sent to all appropriate parties.
• Analyze drivers’ mileages and payroll to ensure all drivers are working a full work week and overtime usage is controlled/minimized to minimize cost
• Take disciplinary action and counsel drivers when required for violations of company handbook rules and/or policies.
• Perform all other job duties assigned.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
Knowledge of oilfield industry, products and services.
Ability to development of hauling capability
Knowledge of all trucking regulations.
Minimum Required Work Experience
4-5 years of Domestic shipping and logistics experience, ideally with business transporting materials for Oil & Gas / Energy customers
