- Strong trim engineering background
- Proven success in launching soft trim programs (JIT, Cut & Sew)

- Expertise in engineering tools (DFMEA, Root Cause/8D, DVP, GD&T, etc.)
Position Summary
Provides front-line technical leadership and customer interface for assigned program(s), ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable trim products. Leads engineering teams to achieve on-time program milestones, first-time quality targets, and budget adherence, while strengthening team capability and customer satisfaction.
Core member of the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) with full accountability for engineering execution, technical decisions, and program performance outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Leads engineering team to achieve:
- ≥95% on-time engineering releases
- First-time DV/PV pass rate ≥90%
- Engineering changes reduction vs. prior programs
- Acts as primary technical interface with customer, ensuring:
- Timely closure of all technical issues and escalations
- Alignment to customer specifications, performance, and cost targets
- Owns engineering budget and resources to ensure:
- Program execution within approved budget (±5%)
- Optimal utilization of engineering resources
- Drives a culture of robust design, accountability, and continuous improvement
Develops team capability through coaching, mentoring, and structured development plans
