DESCRIPTION

The Treater Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of Aegis’ chemical product from our yard facility to the customer’s location.  This position is also responsible for chemical treating of all scheduled wells and locations on a regular basis.  The Treater Truck Driver is responsible for maintaining a treating schedule that provides our customers with the highest level of service possible.  Approximately 10-20 hours of overtime per week may be required on a consistent basis for this position. Class A or B CDL is required with Hazmat, Tankers, and Airbrakes (no restrictions that limit the use of a standard transmission)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Haul chemicals from Aegis yard facility to customer site;
  • Chemical treating of all scheduled wells and locations on a regular basis;
  • Keeping up with BHI and DOT documentation;
  • Understanding container labeling and associated product hazards;
  • Loads and unloads truck;
  • Performs routine servicing and inspection of truck equipment and supplies;
  • Driving a Company vehicle with company-required endorsements as a DOT Driver in compliance with FMCSA regulations;
  • Handles special customer projects and work overtime as needed and;

Qualifications

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work under pressure and to maintain efficiency and composure
  • Ability to travel out to and navigate job sites for extended hours as business dictates with the ability to travel by means designated by Company (Air, Auto, Train, Boat, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and PC Skills and
  • Needs little direction to complete tasks; can dictate degree of direction needed to complete tasks

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience
  • Previous oil and gas well treating experience
  • At least three (3) years’ commercial driving experience with Tanker Endorsement
  • Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gauges

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. at any given time
  • Ability to bend over 40-50 times per day
  • Physical demands of the position include sitting, standing, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather

TRAVEL

This position requires daily local travel within assigned Company vehicles.

Skills Required

  • Class A or B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Airbrakes endorsements (no restrictions)
  • At least three (3) years commercial driving experience with Tanker endorsement
  • Minimum of one (1) year commercial driving experience

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and comply with random/post-incident drug testing
  • Ability to travel daily to job sites using company vehicle and work extended hours/overtime as needed
