Your role:
As a Treasury Consultant at Zanders, you will have the opportunity to dive into live projects almost immediately, gaining valuable insights and, within approximately two years, may be responsible for your own client portfolio. You will advise Public Sector clients (housing associations, health care institutions as well as other (semi-) Public Sector entities) and corporate clients on topics such as arranging financing, assessing the feasibility of investment projects by providing strategic advice to executive boards, setting annual budgets and financial parameters, developing cash flow forecasts and defining treasury policies and procedures.
You join a team of around 20 professionals within our Treasury Advisory Group, collaborating across sub-sectors on assignments spanning Treasury Management, Risk Management and Corporate Finance. You will run several client engagements at the same time, manage your own planning and deadlines, and contribute to project planning with a view beyond the current phase. You will sit in your clients' Treasury Committees, maintain the relationships in your portfolio and spot where Zanders can further provide solutions to their financial challenges. We serve clients mainly through advisory engagements, as well as occasional interim assignments where you will work more frequently at the client site.
Key Responsibilities:
Structure and arrange financing solutions (loans, credit facilities) for public sector and corporate clients, from initial analysis through negotiation with lenders,
Assess financing proposals and applications for feasibility, risk, and alignment with treasury policy,
Participate in and support client Treasury Committees; prepare and present materials for executive boards and supervisory boards,
Run client engagements, managing scope, planning, budget and quality of deliverables,
Assess feasibility of investment projects, analyze risk exposures and recommend funding strategies,
Define, implement and review treasury policies, procedures, annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and key financial parameters,
Monitor market trends, regulation and sector developments and translate insights into client recommendations.
Skills to be successful:
Completed Master’s in a relevant study Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Econometrics or a comparable quantitative/financial discipline,
0-5 years of working experience (3-5years for Senior Consultant) in treasury, corporate finance, banking or a comparable role
Proven affinity with numbers, consulting and financing topics,
Strong communication skills and solid analytical capability,
Demonstrable interest in the Dutch Public Sector,
Drawn to a career in consulting, that involves specialization, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal collaboration,
Experience with Dutch public sector clients such as housing associations, healthcare institutions or other (semi-)public entities will be considered a plus.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Skills Required
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Econometrics, or a comparable quantitative or financial discipline
- 0–5 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking, or a comparable role
- 3–5 years of experience for the Senior Consultant level
