Treasury Analyst

As a Treasury Analyst with HVMG, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Management Company and it's portfolio of hotel properties by performing key cash management, banking operations, and treasury function. This role will ensure efficient liquidity management and will support the financial integrity of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain strong working relationships with banking and merchant partners
  • Coordinate with financial institutions to open and close bank accounts as needed, ensuring compliance with internal controls and documented procedures
  • Review domestic and international wire documentation and approve transfers adhering strictly to established SOPs and approval workflows
  • Facilitate the opening and closing of merchant IDs and manage user access setup and maintenance
  • Manage relationships with credit card processors and payment gateway providers
  • Analyze banking services at each bank and property including costs and security. Add/remove services as needed. Maintain a database of all banking relationships, services and costs.
  • Maintain a database of all merchant processors by property, primary contacts and cost structures.
  • Maintain merchant processor access rights for corporate and properties.
  • Assist properties in resolving banking and merchant issues.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within treasury, including but not limited to bank fees charged and consolidation of banking platforms
  • Maintain treasury logs, process requests, and manage related documentation to ensure accurate record keeping
  • Ensure adherence to treasury-related SOPs and internal policies, particularly those governing bank account changes and wire transfer processes
  • Review and recommend policies and procedures to maintain a high level of security and safeguard against fraud and theft
  • Monitor and maintain access/permission rights across all properties (semi-annual reviews)
  • Special projects with ownership group as assigned by the Corporate Director of F&A
  • Monitoring banking set-ups (owner platforms)
  • Support Corp Director of F&A with management company or other F&A related projects, technology or process improvements
  • Cross-train on F&A positions as a back-up (A/P, A/R, Reconciliations, Cash Flow, etc.) as directed by Corporate Director of F&A
  • Other projects assigned
Specific Job Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Profit Sword Suite, and Hotel Effectiveness.
  • Basic accounting principles such as accruals, debit/credit, matching principle
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Meet established timelines
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, Required. 
  • Minimum of 3 Years of Experience in Treasury, Required. Multi-Unit or Multi-Entity Business Environment, Highly Preferred. 
  • Hospitality Industry Experience at either Corporate/Regional Level or On-Site, Highly Preferred.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of treasury experience
