What will you do?
In the role of Transport Planner, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation process. You will work closely with the Senior Transport Planner, 3 fellow Transport Planners, and a team of about 45 drivers.
Together, you ensure that our customers are supplied on time and that we maintain our position as the fastest in the corrugated board industry. You play a key role in ensuring a flawless logistics process, finding an optimal balance between efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with legal requirements.
Your responsibilities:
- Developing, managing, and continuously optimizing the transport planning. You ensure that routes are planned as efficiently as possible; - Acting as the first point of contact for both internal drivers and external transporters, providing them support with inquiries, routes, and other logistical matters;
- Strictly adhering to and enforcing regulations regarding delivery times, driving and rest times, and other legal provisions applicable within the transport sector;
- Being responsible for calling in additional transport from external carriers when needed, ensuring seamless coordination between various parties to manage peak moments;
- Adequately handling any issues that may arise during transit, such as delays, complaints, or other challenges. You always find a solution to maintain high customer satisfaction;
- Preparing and verifying all necessary loading and transport documents to ensure shipments comply with administrative and legal requirements.

What are we looking for?
- You have at least completed education at MBO-4 level;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in transport planning or a similar logistics role;
- You are proficient in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
- You possess geographical knowledge of the Netherlands and preferably also of the surrounding countries;
- You are highly skilled with the MS Office suite, particularly Word and Excel, and have experience with transport planning software;
- You are accurate, resilient to stress, and capable of quickly adapting when necessary. Additionally, you know how to prioritize and maintain an overview in busy situations;
- You have strong communication skills and are flexible in adapting to changing situations.
