The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients to and from clinical units, and various diagnostic/treatment areas via a wheelchair, stretcher or bed which may include patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and other equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Patient Transporter responds to various alerts to prevent Emergency Department Diversion, Operating Room and Post Anesthesia Care Unit Holds, and assists with all disasters as directed.
Education:
High school diploma/ GED is required.
Experience:
2-5 years experience in patient care preferred
Must be able to interact positively with patients and hospital personnel.
Must be able to accurately record information provided by transport software and write legibly.
Must be able to hear, comprehend and follow directions.
Must be able to walk extensively and be capable of lifting and moving patients.
Salary Range: $25.135/hr - $26.462/hr
