This position is usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Our New York office seeks a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2026.
Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.
What You’ll Do:
- Assists project team members with various support tasks.
- Conducts basic research and data collection.
- Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
- Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
- Performs other duties assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
What We Prefer:
- Preferred degree program in environmental studies, urban/regional planning, traffic engineering, or related field
- Familiar with ArcGIS and Adobe Suites
- Understanding of the 4-step model for transportation planning
- Exposure to demand modeling, traffic simulation or transit planning software
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure

The approximate pay range for New York is $20.55 - $38.54. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state..
