Jewson are looking for a Transport Allocator Planner to join the supportive and successful team at their Bristol (Winterstoke Road) site.
Working Hours:
7am-5pm Mon-Fri, and every 2nd Sat 8am-12pm
Location: Winterstoke Road, Bristol, BS3 2NS
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate transport operations alongside the Branch and Transport Managers to meet customer demands
Communicate effectively and facilitate good working relationships with drivers, suppliers, and customers
Utilise Excel and Word to create transport schedules and reports and manage associated administrative tasks
Manage logistics, including route planning and vehicle allocation
Drive continuous improvement in transport processes
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
Required Skills and Experience:
Logistic and transport planning experience with awareness of Transport Legislation
An understanding of building materials would be desirable
Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
Strong IT skills and regional geographic knowledge
Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
