DP World are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our Logistics team, based in Bicester.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our transport operations. The Transport Administrator will be responsible for managing transport administration activities, coordinating delivery information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the wider operations team to ensure customer requirements are met.
Working in a fast-paced logistics environment, this role requires someone who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, and provide accurate and timely support to daily transport activities.
About the role:
- Manage transport administration activities, ensuring delivery bookings and requirements are accurately processed.
- Prepare and maintain daily transport schedules to support efficient delivery operations.
- Upload and maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation, working proactively with carrier partners to ensure requirements are met within agreed timescales.
- Upload order files and support route planning activities to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Liaise with Export teams regarding shipping requirements and identify potential delivery issues or conflicts.
- Work closely with warehouse operations teams to resolve order queries and support effective communication across functions.
- Support drivers by preparing delivery paperwork and communicating any additional delivery requirements.
- Maintain transport reports, including despatch analysis and spend tracking information.
- Ensure transport administration systems and records are accurate and kept up to date.
- Support a strong Health & Safety culture by reporting incidents, hazards, and unsafe practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business and provide support across transport and operational activities as required.
Your Key Skills:
- Previous experience within a transport, logistics, warehouse, or administration environment would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment with frequent changes and interruptions.
- Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications and warehouse or transport management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, drivers, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and follow processes and procedures effectively.
