The Job/What You'll Do:

The Transfer Specialist is a key contributor responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of daily transfer procedures at AssetMark Trust Company. This role involves managing complex issues, resolving transfer items not in good order, and initiating incoming or outgoing transfers. The Specialist collaborates with contra firms to facilitate smooth asset delivery, demonstrating strong attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility to handle volume surges while meeting service level agreements. A continuous improvement mindset, expertise in transfer processes, and adherence to regulatory requirements are essential. The Specialist actively drives improvements, scalability, and efficiency within the transfer process, contributing to a commitment to customer focus, accuracy, speed, and service excellence.

Specialists also have the ability to become Gold or Platinum certified, as well as promoted to a Level 2, Level 3, or Sr for taking on additional responsibilities and exceeding key performance metrics.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Phoenix, AZ office.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate both incoming or outgoing transfers for successful completion.
  • Review and interpret various transfer paperwork.
  • Maintain detailed information on delivery and contra firms.
  • Track and update incoming or outgoing transfer requests, resolving issues with contra firms.
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls to resolve transfer issues and provide timely communication.
  • Resolve NIGO issues and escalate when necessary for timely resolution.
  • Conduct daily transfer audits to ensure accurate books and records.
  • Update and maintain transfer procedure documentation.
  • Partner with transfer agent to maintain and build structure for transfer process.
  • Proficiency in core work types for either transfers in or out.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ACAT, Non-ACAT, and DTC transfers.
  • Expertise in transfer initiation, allocation, follow-up and transfers off-platform
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in brokerage industry and banking
  • Energetic, team player, cooperative and eager to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and execute plans successfully
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Consistently demonstrates high productivity
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to quickly master multiple business systems and applications.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, report, and communicate data effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $50,000-$60,000.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
