Job Description:

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Transactional & Compliance Data Specialist. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transactional Compliance & Data Specialist to safeguard our data and transactions’ integrity, accuracy, and compliance across the enterprise. In this role, you will be the owner of data quality, ensuring that every record is created, maintained, and governed in line with global standards. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening the data backbone that supports supply chain, finance, sales, and operational processes worldwide.

Part of the Global Process Excellence team, you will monitor transactional and master data flows, enforce governance policies, validate data changes, identify anomalies, and drive continuous improvement in data quality standards.

This role requires a unique blend of master data expertise, a compliance-driven mindset, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration. You will act as a trusted partner to business and technology stakeholders, embedding a culture of data ownership and accountability.

Reporting to the Global Master Data and Data Governance Lead, this role offers you the opportunity to shape how our organization manages and protects its most valuable data assets.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


As a Transactional & Compliance Data Specialist, you will: 

 

Data Quality Monitoring & Assurance

•            Ensure business-critical transactions and data are accurate, complete, consistent and maintained in full compliance with global governance policies.

•            Monitor master and transactional data flows to identify anomalies, duplicates, inconsistencies, and deviations from established standards.

•            Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions, holding data owners accountable for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

•            Continuously monitor and improve data quality KPIs, escalating issues where standards are not met.


Process Oversight & Continuous Improvement

•            Oversee master data workflows, approval routes, and mass-update activities to ensure they remain compliant and controlled.

•            Support data governance initiatives, migrations, and projects, ensuring compliance requirements are embedded from the start.


Stakeholder Partnership & Governance Enforcement

•            Serve as a trusted point of contact for master data governance guidance, standards, and best practices.

•            Promote a culture of data ownership, accountability, and control across functions and geographies.

 

Reporting & Controls

•            Track and report governance metrics, compliance status, and data quality performance to leadership.

•            Ensure documentation, audit trails, and control evidence are maintained for internal and external reviews.

 

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.

1–5 years in Master Data Management, Data Governance and compliance, or a related field within a global environment.

Hands-on experience with data migration, mass-update, and data cleansing activities in an ERP environment.

Language skills: fluent English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, are required for this position.

Experience in data quality management and validation, and internal controls / compliance.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with SAP in the supply chain modules (SD, MM or PP), including transaction execution and error handling, workflow and approval processes, mass-maintenance transactions.

Business acumen: strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate governance and compliance needs into practical, controlled data processes that generate measurable value.

Organization and communication: proven ability to manage projects and initiatives, facilitate change, deliver results in dynamic, cross-functional environments, collaborate across functions, and communicate effectively.

Supply Chain: understanding of Supply Chain processes, including MRP, ATP, demand planning, inventory management, and ERP/SAP environments.

Problem Solving: analytical thinker with a compliance-driven mindset and a passion for improving data integrity, quality, and control through structured, sustainable solutions.

Attention to detail & integrity: a natural focus on accuracy, consistency, and accountability, with the confidence to challenge non-compliant data and enforce governance standards.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
