🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you will be doing:
Initially supporting the delivery of theoretical and practical marine firefighting training instruction
Once qualified you will become an Instructor carrying out the training directly
Acting as Safety Officer for practical firefighting training
Acting as the Control Room Operator, monitoring safety systems and controlling the fire compartment settings and parameters.
Ensuring all training equipment, training areas and classrooms are correctly prepared prior to use
Providing First Aid response (training provided)
Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with.
Maintaining documentation, test, and calibration records.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Skills:
Previous experience within Navy or Fire Service (ideally Royal Navy)
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Team player
Physically fit and able to wear Breathing Apparatus and work in extremely hot conditions
Proficiency in using IT within the workplace.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience/knowledge of submarines
