This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Training Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Scope:
The Digital Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging digital learning solutions that improve employee performance, support quality and compliance requirements, and accelerate workforce capability across the organization. This role partners with Operations, Quality, and subject matter experts to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven training programs that enhance productivity, reduce errors, and ensure audit readiness.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop digital learning solutions, including eLearning modules, microlearning, videos, and job aids
- Convert instructor-led and procedural training into engaging, scalable digital formats
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) to maximize effectiveness
- Create and edit high-quality training content, including video, graphics, and visual materials
- Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and learner experience across all training assets
- Optimize content for mobile, on-demand, and plant-floor accessibility
- Administer LMS content, course assignments, and completion tracking
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records to support SQF and regulatory compliance
- Monitor training completion rates and ensure adherence to required timelines
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and SMEs to assess training needs and identify performance gaps
- Evaluate training effectiveness using data (completion rates, audit findings, quality metrics)
- Continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on feedback and performance results
- Support reduction of deviations, non-conformances, and audit findings through targeted training solutions
- Align training initiatives with operational goals, workforce development, and quality standards
- Act as a consultant to business partners on digital learning best practices
- Provide creative direction and guidance on training strategy and execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure training solutions meet business needs
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Instructional Design, or related field
- Experience in video production, editing, and visual content creation
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles
- Experience using data to evaluate and improve training effectiveness
- Preferred experience in manufacturing or regulated environments (e.g., SQF, FDA)
- Preferred experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work within a manufacturing environment, including extended walking and standing
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Capable of performing physical activities such as bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, as needed
- Regular use of computer and digital equipment for prolonged periods
- Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend.
- Must possess visual acuity to document company records.
- Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center.
Skills Required
