Summary: Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, Training Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring new and transferring employees are thoroughly trained and that training is detailed. The Coordinator must be capable of both giving the training and verifying the training. The Coordinator will also build and update training documents as needed. Validating and maintaining Qualification Cards will be a critical part of this job.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Weekly review of qualification cards Verify training of new hires and current employees in new roles, including general plant-wide training and work instruction information, and maintain related recordkeeping, recertifying as needed. Maintain accuracy of the training matrix. Work closely with Onboarding Coordinator to assure timely sign off of new hire qualification cards. Identify and make recommendations for trainees who may need additional assistance to be successful in assigned roles. Supervise changes in job training documentation and communicate those changes by updating the work instructions using the change approval process. Maintain a detailed understanding of the work instructions and how they are used in job certification. Miscellaneous duties as assigned for the orderly and efficient running of the plant.
Qualifications:

  • Must have a good proven understanding of the Winchester plant and its processes.
  • Must know or be able to quickly learn the quality and safety standards/requirements of each job.
  • Must have excellent planning, organizational and work leadership skills.
  • Must possess and demonstrate good safety & quality orientation, attention to detail, work standards, and enforce all GMPs.
  • Must possess basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must be comfortable mentoring, teaching, and speaking to larger groups.
  • Able to work other shifts when needed and be flexible to complete the job tasks.


Overtime will be required and is crucial for this job. This position does require successful completion of basic computer skills assessment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.
