The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of staff involved in behavioral health and ABA services. This role will facilitate training programs, develop and maintain training materials, assess staff readiness, and provide coaching to help ensure team members understand and consistently follow clinical, operational, documentation, and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in ABA, behavioral health, early intervention, education, or a similar setting and is comfortable translating clinical and operational requirements into practical, easy-to-understand training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and facilitate onboarding and ongoing training programs for clinical and support staff.
  • Conduct training sessions on organizational procedures, documentation standards, service delivery expectations, and applicable ABA practices.
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials, guides, presentations, and learning resources.
  • Assess employee knowledge and competency through quizzes, observations, demonstrations, or other appropriate methods.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to new and existing staff to reinforce proper procedures and service standards.
  • Work closely with clinical and operational leadership to identify training gaps and development needs.
  • Monitor training completion, attendance, assessment results, and employee progress.
  • Identify recurring performance or documentation issues and recommend appropriate retraining.
  • Support the implementation of new policies, procedures, systems, and workflows through targeted training.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Ensure training content remains aligned with applicable organizational, clinical, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other projects related to staff development.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Human Services, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in ABA, behavioral health, special education, early intervention, or a related healthcare/service environment.
  • Previous experience in training, staff development, coaching, or employee onboarding.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and terminology is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with RBTs, BCBAs, behavior technicians, or similar clinical staff is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to create clear and engaging training materials.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual training platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple training activities simultaneously.

Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Internet Connection:
    • Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
    • Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
    • Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
  • Primary Device:
    • Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
      • Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer)Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer)AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
      • A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
  • Backup Device:
    • Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
    • Must be functional during power interruptions.
