The Training Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for hourly manufacturing employees, with a primary focus on Welders, Tubers, Electricians, and Insulators. This role ensures employees are trained, qualified, and certified to safely and effectively perform their jobs while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
The Training Manager partners with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and Production leadership to establish training strategies, maintain skill qualification programs, and develop career progression pathways for skilled trades employees. The role oversees training governance, monitors workforce competency, manages training records and certifications, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workforce capability, productivity, quality, and employee engagement.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing operations, workforce development, technical training, skilled trades, or a related field.
*Experience leading training programs within a manufacturing environment.
*Working knowledge of welding, tubing, electrical, insulation, or other industrial manufacturing processes.
*Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and project management skills.
*Experience developing training curricula, qualification standards, certification programs, and skills matrices.
*Ability to influence leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
Hiring Salary Range
$85,200.00 - $127,800.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
