The Training Coordinator  is responsible for leads the training team in the assigned region, ensuring the proper execution of training strategies, programs, and processes. This role is responsible for the design, coordination, and deployment of role-based training with a focus on regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO 13485, STPS), technical training. The position also supervises the Quality Control Trainer & Inspector, a hybrid role that combines on-the-floor training with quality inspection for batch release. 

This position reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the Quality team located in Tijuana, Baja California, México and will be an on-site role.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, HR, and other departments to integrate functional training.
  • Supervise and develop the Quality Control Trainer & Inspector, ensuring effective training and batch release according to quality standards.
  • Ensure timely recording and storage of training records in accordance with the QMS.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Identify training needs with area managers and translate them into specific programs.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Psychology, with experience in regulated industries and a focus on technical training and regulatory compliance.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries, with knowledge of manufacturing standards and practices, including quality and compliance.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience managing training initiatives and providing training support in a manufacturing environment.
  • Medium knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR 820 requirements.
  • Experience in adult learning theory, instructional design, and training content development, including eLearning formats.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Travel Requirements: None
  • Work environment: Typical controlled office environment and Class 8 clean rooms.
  • Physical stress required: Visual and manual

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Manage eLearning: assignments, metrics, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor changes in eLearning that impact training assignments.
  • Support eLearning system improvements in collaboration with the corporate team.
  • Present training metrics during management reviews (QSMR).
  • Follow up on CAPAs, NCs, procedure updates, and change controls.
