Job Description

Summary of Position

As a Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, managing, updating and ensuring the administration of comprehensive LMS (Learning Management System). Coordination and active involvement to schedule training for operational and manufacturing staff, ensuring that all trainees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to maintain high levels of efficiency and quality in our panels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with operations managers, supervisors, and other support staff to identify training needs and align training efforts with plant goals.
  • Coordinate necessary training activities for the various areas.
  • Facilitate the training of operators, technicians, team lead and supervisors on a variety of machines, production, quality and warehouse processes.
  • Support the design and implementation of training curricula tailored to manufacturing processes, equipment operation, safety protocols, specifications, parameters, drawings, and quality standards etc.
  • Collaborate with departmental supervisors and managers to create and standardize work procedures, course content, quizzes, OJT (on-job-training) to improve efficiency and maintain consistent quality and process standardization across all shifts.
  • Keep detailed records of all training sessions, employee progress, certification renewals, Skill metrices etc., within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure employees across all departments are adapting to new technologies or processes.
  • By use of technology and “out-of-box” ideas, ensure automation of the learning process to reduce cost and increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all training programs adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Continuously assess and update training materials, methods, and delivery to reflect best practices and the latest advancements in manufacturing techniques.
  • Promote versatility among employees by encouraging cross-training in various manufacturing/operation/maintenance/ production roles, increasing flexibility and agility in workforce deployment.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required. Technical or College degree preferred.
  • 2+ years in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • Previous experience in a training or leadership role, preferred.
  • Previous experience in solar industry or similar, preferred.

Skills

  • Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to distinguish between colors.  
  • Problem-solving skills   
  • Experience tracking multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate cross-departmentally
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern AI tools and software applications related to training.
  • Advanced skills in Excel or Smart sheet will be a definite plus.
  • Previous working on development of course modules and learning system will be a definite plus.
