Summary:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and tracking employee training programs to support agency compliance, onboarding, professional development, and service excellence. This position reports directly to the Training Manager and partners with program leadership to ensure employees complete required training and maintain compliance with agency, state, federal, and contractual requirements. The Training Coordinator assists with the administration of the agency’s learning and development programs, including orientation, scheduling, recordkeeping, and training delivery across agencies to include St. Pjs, Seton Home, and Catholic Charities.
Requirements
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding of programs.
- Schedule, organize, and support required employee training activities.
- Deliver agency training programs using established curriculum and training materials.
- Coordinate external and internal trainers, presenters, and subject matter experts.
- Ensure training activities are conducted in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining annual training calendars and employee development schedules.
- Conducts trauma-informed employee training.
- Maintains accurate training records and employee training files.
- Supports internal and external audits and stakeholders by providing training documentation as requested.
- Generate training reports and communicate upcoming training requirements to leadership and staff.
- Ensure training records remain compliant with licensing, accreditation, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer assigned Learning Management System (LMS) functions, including course assignments, completions, and reporting.
- Provides good customer service to shelter staff including answering questions regarding training & providing necessary documentation.
- Prepare training materials, attendance logs, evaluations, certifications, and other training documentation.
- Maintain training resources, classroom supplies, and equipment.
- Attendance and successful completion of a 10- day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.
- Evaluate participant feedback and recommended improvements to training programs and processes.
- Assists with updates to training materials and presentations as needed.
- Serves as a resource to employees regarding training requirements and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with program leadership and human resources to support workforce development initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service while responding to employee training inquiries.
- Promote a positive learning environment that supports employee growth and engagement.
- Adheres to agency policies, safety practices, and code of conduct standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of agency, employee, and client information.
- Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner.
- Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and takes precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.

Trauma-Informed Care Responsibilities:
- Promote and model trauma-informed principles in all aspects of training delivery and employee interactions
- Support employee understanding and application of trauma-informed practices consistent with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and agency values.
- Collaborate with leadership and Human Resources to integrate trauma-informed practices into onboarding, employee development, and performance expectations.
- Foster a learning environment that emphasizes respect, psychological safety, cultural humility, inclusion, and professional accountability.
- Ensure required trauma-informed care training is assigned, tracked, and completed within established timeframes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Social Services, Organizational Development, or related field, preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience coordinating, facilitating, or administering training programs.
- Experience with employee onboarding, training coordination, or workforce development preferred.
- Experience working within a nonprofit, human services, healthcare, or educational setting preferred.
- License and Credentials
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Trauma-informed model certification preferred but not required
- SAMA & CPR/First Aid Facilitator Certifications preferred but not required
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training techniques.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the agency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and learning management systems (LMS).

Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements as needed for training delivery and agency meetings.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in social services, education, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience conducting training
- At least 3 years of experience creating training curricula and/or presentations
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Completion of a mandatory 10-day New Employee Orientation
- Master's degree
- Bilingual ability
- Trauma-informed model certification
- SAMA and CPR/First Aid Facilitator certifications
