Position Title: Training Director

Reporting Structure: Training Lead

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $48,000-$64,000 depending on experience and skill sets, and may be eligible for year-end bonuses.

Job Classification: Full time, non exempt
Schedule: Full-time (50 or more hours per week)

Location: Remote, some travel may be required for training and/or project setup

Role Description

Merrimack Services is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of Training Associate who will be responsible for helping to develop and lead training programs for a variety of canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing projects throughout the country. .

The Training Associate will report directly to theTraining Director. This role is remote, but the applicant will be required to travel frequently to project locations throughout the country.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and be a thought partner to the Training team to create training content, facilitate live and virtual training, and coach or problem-solve with staff

  • Help create and refine content for our library of training, our LMS, and coaching resources

  • Deliver top-quality skills-building and informational in-person and virtual training to staff

  • Collect, synthesize, and act on feedback from staff being trained to continually improve your skills and our Training Department

  • Find training solutions to staff challenges and opportunities based on data and anecdotal reports

Experience, Requirements and Skills

  • At least one cycle of campaign experience, preferably in a staff or volunteer training capacity

  • Extremely organized, structured, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and processes

  • Versatile and eager to learn new skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, collegial attitude

  • Ability to think and act creatively and flexibly in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment

  • Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, which can be expected to require 40+ hours per week during peak times in the summer and fall, and may include evenings and weekends

  • Must possess a cell phone, laptop, and reliable internet

  • Familiarity with Google Suite and NGP VAN is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $48,000-$64,000, depending on experience and skill sets. Merrimack offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits.

Training Associates are considered Full-Time Employees meaning they are expected to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) for a defined period of time, typically the length of the project. However, Merrimack expects to provide extensive opportunities for successful Project Training Directors to continue on with the company throughout the 2026 election season.

Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by Merrimack.
