About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traffic Engineer – Site Supervisor to join our highway road construction project in Timor-Leste.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating traffic engineering and traffic management activities during construction. The role will ensure that traffic control measures, temporary traffic arrangements, road safety systems, and related works are implemented safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, traffic management plans, and applicable standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with specialization in traffic engineering or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 15 (fifteen) years of cumulative experience in Civil Engineering with expertise in Highway road construction supervision and thereof a minimum of 10 (ten) years related to the traffic management for Highway roads or large road projects.
- Have served in a similar capacity on at least 2 (two) Highway Road projects of similar nature.
- Preferably a full-time employee of the PMC since at least 2 years.
- Fluency in written and spoken form of English is mandatory.
- Responsible for managing traffic flow and safety during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to existing traffic, in conformance with the DB Contract, the technical specifications and the approved detailed design.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in traffic engineering, or equivalent
- At least 15 years of cumulative civil engineering experience
- At least 10 years of experience in traffic management for highway roads or large road projects
- Experience serving in a similar capacity on at least two comparable highway road projects
- Preferably a full-time employee of the PMC for at least two years
- Fluency in written and spoken English
