Job Description
Position Title: Traffic Coordinator
Location: Assembly Drive, Rockford, IL 61109
Department: Warehouse
Shift: 1st Shift
Reporting To: Warehouse Manager
The primary function of this position is to arrange for the transportation of finished goods from Assembly Drive facilities to the appropriate customer/distribution center and to manage the schedule for outbound shipments of finished goods and other return to vendor materials. Provide the warehouse with the required paperwork and templates. This position will also be responsible for driving commercial vehicles including the straight truck.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

Arrange for transportation of finished goods from PCI Assembly Drive facilities to the appropriate customer/distribution area.

Negotiate best prices/routing for transportation of finished goods where not specifically directed otherwise by the customer.

Dispatch vehicles and establish the use of common carriers as required/directed by the Planning, Sales, or Quality Departments on behalf of the customer. Coordinate the scheduling of outbound shipments of FG components and raw materials.

Maintain the daily schedule of outbound shipments.

Act as a liaison between the Warehouse and all other departments in matters about transportation and logistics.

Manage all shipping paperwork and create BOL and packing lists as required. Ensure the warehouse has all the required paperwork and templates for shipping.

This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and rules.

Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.

Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-3 years related experience and/or training.

Basic Mathematical Skills

Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and knows various computer programs.

Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms.
