Traffic Coordinator (Regular Full-Time)

KDFW – FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth | Dallas, TX

The KDFW Traffic Department has an amazing opportunity for a Traffic Coordinator to play a critical role in the scheduling of both spot and paid programming commercial copy, working closely with advertising agencies and FOX Sales teams to help ensure every commercial airs as planned.

Job Summary

 

  • Copy Scheduling Support: Assist in the gathering and organization of materials needed to schedule copy for both spot buys and paid program schedules.
  • Commercial Scheduling: Ensure the accurate scheduling of commercial copy across all scheduled programming.
  • Agency & Sales Communication: Communicate daily with advertising agencies and FOX Sales teams to coordinate commercial scheduling and resolve issues.
  • Inbox Management: Monitor the shared email box and respond promptly to time-sensitive requests.
  • Log Management: Work displaced spots on logs in assigned dayparts as part of daily duties.
  • Accuracy & Prioritization: Maintain exceptional accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional Duties: Support other Traffic Department and station initiatives and perform additional projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Experience: 1+ year of office, administrative, or coordination experience.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a positive, professional approach.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with standard business software, including email, internet applications, and Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in television scheduling, broadcast traffic, copy coordination, or a related media operations role is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Business, or a related field preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $27.40 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
