Garda is looking to hire a Trading Intern to join the Rates trading team in Zug, for 6 months in 2025. The candidate will be supporting portfolio managers, helping implement solutions for our trading and analytics systems. Over the course of the internship, you will be exposed to the analytics used in trading, working closely with a mentor who will provide guidance and feedback.
Position Responsibilities
- Support the macro trading team with economic research and market analysis
- Improve macro risk taking around economic cycles and specific data releases by producing data driven analytics
- Support the team’s research process, including model building, data collection and analysis, prototyping, back testing, and performance monitoring
- Evaluate sell side research for useful, repeatable insights
- Conduct original research project over the duration of the internship
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in economics, econometrics, statistics, finance, financial engineering, applied math, computer science, or similar quantitative or technical discipline
- Exceptional quantitative & programming skills (Python & SQL)
- Knowledge and interest in financial markets
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Intellectual curiosity and motivation to innovate and improve
