The Role

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, team player and detail-oriented Equities Back Office Analyst to join our team. The role will be responsible for supporting the equities trading desk and its stakeholders by ensuring accurate and timely settlement of trades, managing trade discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely settlement of equity trades in accordance with market regulations and internal policies.
  • Reconcile trade discrepancies and resolve settlement issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with front office, middle office, and external counterparties to ensure smooth trade processing.
  • Monitor and manage daily trade confirmations and settlements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in a back office or operations role within the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with trade settlement systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to equity settlements.
