The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Trade Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Drive operational excellence with peers and cross-functional teams on broker management and opportunities in reducing landed cost.
  • Manage local Trade Compliance/Operations functions: Export Control; Customs/Import Management Country of Origin; Duty Management and Free Trade Optimization; Product license/permit and Cargo Security.
  • Work with customs broker and freight forwarders to improve customs process efficiency, shorten customs clearance lead time and resolve/eliminate root causes for OTD delays.
  • Drive improvement in compliance and business efficiency performance. Define, maintain, and communicate key trade compliance/operations and efficiency performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Operate regional deployment of Global Trade Compliance/Operations Initiatives.
  • Support compliance of existing processes and controls and propose solutions to ensure compliance. 
  • Support regional Trade Compliance/Operations policies, business rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials to minimize the risk of an inadvertent error or violation.
  • Assess country compliance and capabilities. Identify gaps and propose solutions to address gaps. Highlight and recognize best practices and develop strategies to expand their use.
  • Engage and coordinate Trade Compliance/Operations issues with regional and country Legal counsel.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Min. 5+ years of related job experience is preferred.
  • Analytical and creative approach to define the root causes and to establish the process and to resolve the encountered problems with self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact and collaborate with cross functional groups cross region.
  • Able to work and lead a cross functional/regional/divisional setting.
  • Experience in SAP / GTS / EDI will be an added advantage
  • Expect some overseas travel and team player.
  • Proficient in English in writing and speaking.

Work location: Seoul, Korea

·       Hybrid (Onsite and Remote): Hybrid

Travel: 5% domestic

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
