The Role

This role is responsible for leading the operational management of the trade in business with an end to end look and business vision.

What will be my main duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Establish and manage the Operational Strategy of the Trade in business line for the Andean Region.
  • Lead the operations for the Andean Region regarding TIU: Customer Service, procurement process of devices in the different channels, invoicing, logistics, processing and disposition. To be supported by local teams (Chile, Peru, Colombia) and integrated regional areas. High cultural diversity.
  • Monitor IT team execution for systems plans established by LOB for Trade In, alignment with Latam IT Head and IT management of centers of excellence.
  • Works to prioritize the IT needs of the Andean Region in the line of business.
  • Establish quality standards and quality control procedures. Fraud monitoring.
  • Manage budget.
  • Manage the Trade in operational strategy for the Andean Region.
  • Lead the operational execution of strategies developed with senior management. Responsible for the delivery of results on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for overall leadership and execution of client service delivery including staffing, processes, efficiency analysis and operational improvements across the organization in the Andean Region focused on Trade in.
  • Operationalize new clients, processes for Trade in Programs.

What are the requirements needed for this position? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, IT or other technical related areas.
  • Masters in related areas are desirable.
  • Fluent in the English Language.
  • 5+ years of Operations in mobile industry, or companies related to trade in business, commercialization of reconditioned devices. Business experience, working with executive teams, matrix organizations. Knowledgeable of processes, data analysis, client relationships as well as market trends.
  • Digital expertise desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Requires project management and time-management skills to effectively prioritize work activities to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Multitasking ability is a must.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in Assurant’s IT platforms (ALS, front end / portal solutions, among others).
