THE POSITION 

The Equity Trading Co-op’s primary focus will be assisting the Equity Trading Desk with the following responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring all domestic transactions are fully confirmed and affirmed by brokers each day. 

  • Replying to trading-related inquiries and assisting with the research and resolution of trading discrepancies. 

  • Relaying broker’s trading activity calls and notifications to traders. 

  • Obtaining stock borrows from multiple securities lending desks for short-sell orders. 

  • Oversight of client directed commission programs & broker network maintenance. 

  • Producing and analyzing daily reports to help ensure best trading practices. 

  • Perform daily and monthly Research Commission reconciliation and analysis tasks. 

 

In addition, this individual would serve as an assistant to the Manager of Trade Coordination. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

The qualifications for this position include: 

  • An intelligent, highly motivated and passionate professional committed to excellence 

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines 

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills 

  • Familiarity and interest in the finance industry 

  • Previous experience in a corporate environment a plus

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

$19-$35 per hour

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.   

 

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
