About this opportunity:
The role within Trade Compliance Operations includes advising and guiding the Business Areas and Market Areas on Trade Compliance matters. Key tasks include proactively identifying & eliminating Trade Compliance risks for Ericsson's legal entities & business operations. You will also be responsible for defining Trade Compliance requirements in sales, import, export, and transfer of HW, SW, services, and technology. This role requires expert knowledge of Indonesia import regulations and hands-on experience leveraging tools such as Power BI and Power Automate to streamline processes. You will assist in managing the company's Indonesia import and export activities in accordance with current policies, standards, and procedures, while ensuring the company's objectives are met in terms of profitability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will leverage data and technology to ensure regulatory adherence, mitigate risk and cost, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
What you will do:
Ensure Trade-Compliant Cross Border Transfers for Ericsson (incl. Custom management Interface authorities import/export coordination and support
Provide subject matter expertise ("coaching and mentoring" to other process areas and organizations)
Serve as an internal advisor on Indonesia Customs regulations, tariff classification (HS), valuation, and country of origin rules
Analyze and interpret data from Custom Broker's portal, broker reporting and internal Ed4Hana to monitor compliance metrics, identify risks, and drive process improvements using automation
Customs broker management includes conducting regular audits to ensure entry accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to performance expectations
Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and sessions to internal stakeholders (Sourcing, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) on import compliance topics
Monitor changes in Indonesia trade laws and regulations (e.g., tariffs, Free Trade Agreements, Participating Government Agency requirements) and communicate potential impacts to business stakeholders
Ensure Trade-Compliant Cross Border Transfers for Ericsson (incl. Custom management Interface authorities import/export coordination and support
Provide subject matter expertise ("coaching and mentoring" to other process areas and organizations)
Exercise trade compliance expertise to define which authorizations are required for different types of contracts, agreements, financial set-ups, and contractual terms and conditions
Ensure Trade Compliance system in the Process by establishing and maintaining GTS legal and sanctions control
The skills you bring:
Minimum of 6 years of work experience in Trade Compliance, Customs, Import, and Export Control is required
Experience in the implementation of ICP authorization/Certification and handled Indonesia Comprehensive Custom Audit
Understanding of MUS/ONE Project Team and trainer/supporter of the SAP program, preferable in GTS
Experience in handling digital shipments supply chain risk
Must be fluent in Indonesian language as well as the English language Ensure compliant cross-border transfers and provide trade compliance subject matter expertise
Support external approvals and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
Strong financial and contractual knowledge, including contracts and terms & conditions
Understanding of supply chain management and Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and their business impact
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities
Strong behavioural competencies including planning & organizing, decision-making, influencing, networking, teamwork, and resilience under pressure
