Work Schedule:
This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:
As a Tracking Operations Specialist working within Redwood Multimodal (one of our entities), you will be responsible for communicating with motor carriers to track freight, communicate updates and resolve issues during transit in a fast-paced environment. Your efforts will directly impact the Redwood standard of meeting or often exceeding service obligations to our customers, while enabling corresponding Redwood business units to provide best-in-class service to our customers and carrier-partners. You will gain an understanding of daily logistical challenges and demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence by executing based on Redwood’s best-in-class procedures and processes.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
- Track load life cycle from shipment to delivery with a heavy emphasis on inbound & outbound phone calls, but also utilize electronic means of tracking
- Communicate relevant freight updates to customer and/or internal carrier & operations teams
- Accurately document data entry as it pertains to each unique scenario within a shipment
- Use critical thinking to escalate and provide visibility through load boards and general freight management
- Assist, investigate, and correct unusual customer problems and order delays
- Issue payments for driver expenses when needed
