JOB SUMMARY:
LION is an international company that operates in three markets: the emergency services, military and civilian agency uniforms, and safety markets. The National Sales Account Director is responsible for driving revenue while providing technical expertise and customer-facing guidance related to LION’s TotalCare services and products in our key accounts. This role blends technical aptitude with sales strategy, ensuring customers receive accurate information and that TotalCare solutions are positioned for growth and profitability. The individual will liaise across operations and sales teams to ensure customer needs are met and that TotalCare offerings exceed market expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support TotalCare-related sales activities in alignment with annual business plans and strategic direction.
- Maintain strong knowledge of technical aspects of TotalCare programs, including cleaning processes, decontamination standards, lifecycle planning, and associated services.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring their needs are assessed, validated, and addressed with accurate solutions.
- Relay Voice of the Customer feedback to Product Management to support ongoing improvement of TotalCare products and services.
- Manage and track sales activity using CRM (Salesforce).
- Participate in strategic trade shows and industry events to support TotalCare visibility and education.
- Review and support responses to Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to TotalCare services.
- Foster strong relationships with decision-makers, end-users, and key customers across TotalCare accounts.
- Work closely with TotalCare Operations, Product Management, Senior Leadership, Customer Sales & Support, and internal and external sales teams.
- Lead two direct reports responsible for regional sales growth, bids, and quotes.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree desired, with accumulated years of experience taken into consideration.
- Ability to build close connections with end-users and with LION’s distribution channels and supply chain partners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations skills.
- Working knowledge of CRM software.
- Technical skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic email and smartphone.
- Strong negotiation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated track record of sales results and territory growth.
- Must be able to deliver impactful and concise presentations and demonstrations to large groups.
- Proven leadership skills as a sales support and business development resource.
- Understanding of business acumen and budgeting/ forecasting processes preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Travel of up to 75%. Frequently travel is outside the employee's local area and overnight.
- Highly flexible and able to react constructively and with a positive attitude to multiple demands, shifting priorities, change and unexpected events.
- May be required at times to perform light lifting and carrying (30 lbs) and up to 8 hours a day on standing/walking/ driving.
