Position Purpose

Under occasional supervision, supports the administration of the company’s compensation structure, financial benefits, and/or company benefit plans based on specific area of focus. Administers
company short-term and long-term incentive plans. Administers company deferred compensation
plans. Maintains and updates procedures, policies, and internal processes as needed to support
function. Coordinates other projects and duties as needed.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administers company short-term incentive plans including creation, maintenance, and
    communication of bonus plans, bonus calculations, and monthly bonus accruals and
    reconciliations.
  • Administers aspects of the company’s long-term incentive (LTI) plans. Includes preparation
    and entry of monthly, quarterly, and annual stock option/RSU grants in Shareworks and
    processing of stock options exercises/RSU releases. Prepares any related participant
    communications. Completes any related reporting as necessary. Prepares monthly journal
    entry for any LTI activity.
  • Administers deferred compensation plans including maintenance, communication, and
    processing of annual enrollment and distributions. Reconciles and submits employee deferred
    comp contributions each payroll. Completes any related reporting as necessary.
  • Validates and processes 401k contributions each pay period. Performs biweekly
    reconciliations over 401k.
  • Assists with ESOP diversification and distribution requests (LIFO calculations).
  • Prepares the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A) disclosure for the company’s
    annual proxy statement
  • Maintains and updates procedures, polices, and internal processes as needed to support
    function.
  • Coordinates special projects when needed.

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, business administration, or in a related field
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Workday experience and certifications relative to function a plus [OR] equivalent level of education and experience

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use critical thinking and analytical methods with complex financial situations to
    find creative yet workable solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and/or priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to formulate and communicate findings and recommendations to HR staff and
    management on matters of compensation and benefits
  • Ability to use spreadsheet software to summarize and analyze large amounts of employee
    data
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Ability to use critical thinking and analytical methods to solve compensation and/or benefit
    problems and find creative yet workable solutions
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions with complex compensation and/or benefit solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees on confidential and sensitive information

Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentUsual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing. Occasional climbing, stooping,
kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination
enabling the use of standard office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal
communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
