About the Role:

  • Responsible for the design, development, qualification, optimization, and lifecycle management of Front-of-Line (FOL) tooling, fixtures, jigs, and mechanical components used in semiconductor manufacturing. The role ensures tooling solutions meet quality, productivity, reliability, and cost targets while supporting manufacturing operations, process improvements, and new technology implementation.
What You Will Do
  • Design, develop, and improve FOL tooling, fixtures, jigs, and mechanical components to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Generate, review, and maintain tooling specifications, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Lead tooling qualification, validation, and release activities to ensure readiness for production.
  • Manage the complete tooling lifecycle from concept, design, fabrication, qualification, implementation, maintenance, and refurbishment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on tooling design reviews, technical evaluations, fabrication, and implementation.
  • Conduct tooling trials and performance evaluations to verify compliance with process and quality requirements.
  • Establish and maintain tooling preventive maintenance, refurbishment, and monitoring programs to maximize tool life and reliability.
  • Analyze tooling performance, equipment data, yield trends, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling-related issues impacting quality, productivity, or reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower operational costs.
  • Support new product introductions, technology transfers, capacity expansions, and manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Apply engineering and statistical methodologies to optimize tooling performance and process capability.
  • Evaluate and implement tooling innovations, new materials, and emerging technologies to support business objectives.
  • Conduct technical training and share best practices with manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and external suppliers to achieve operational goals.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in tooling engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, or semiconductor operations.
  • Strong knowledge of tool design principles, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent.
  • Experience in tooling design, qualification, validation, and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
  • Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience is an advantage.
