Job Description
Job Scope: Tool Design Engineer
- Design and develop fixtures, jigs, and specialized tools specifically for aerospace landing gear applications.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to create efficient and precise tooling solutions.
- Hands-on experience on the shop floor, including familiarity with various manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
- Design shop aid tools that support both production and maintenance activities.
- Utilize your experience in tool tryout and collaborate with vendors to develop effective tooling solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain high-quality requirements for all tool designs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in developing fixtures and tools to support testing and production needs.
- knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and landing gear systems.
- Validate tool designs for fit, function, and manufacturability.
- Optimize tool geometry for ease of use and precision.
- Choose appropriate materials for tool components based on factors such as strength, durability, and weight.
- Consider compatibility with the materials being processed (e.g., metallic or forged parts).
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and comprehensive documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
Basic Qualification & Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with minimum 8 years of hands-on machine and tool design experience using CATIA or similar software will be considered.
- Creation of new drawings, Read and understand the Aerospace components, Engineering drawings.
- should be able to apply GD&T symbols and should be able to apply for manufacturing process and their applications.
- Work location: Papendrecht, Netherlands
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Access & Excel.
- Excellent reporting and writing skills.
- You speak and write English well. Dutch is also important.
